As I’ve written before, I love tradeshows! I’m attending one or two meetings at Internext this year, out of nostalgia versus anything else (not really a lot of traffic sources to promote boxing gloves 🙂 ), and it reminded me of shows past.
Probably my favourite show, for both presentation and business, was Internext 2005. Yup, that giant snake is mine. I had to pull a bunch of strings, do a little convincing but managed to get permission to have the snake on our booth. It was visible clear across the show floor. With hundreds of exhibitors, that was no small feat as it draw a ton of people to our booth!
This year, Internext is a little more subdued. Granted, we’re in the middle of a pandemic, but the shows have gotten smaller. Truth be told, I don’t mind the virtual format although I do miss the in person experience.
